Valve Maintenance

Requirement
1.The valve should be stored in a dry and ventilated room, and both ends of the pathway should be blocked.
2. Long-term stored valves should be checked regularly, dirt should be removed, and anti-rust oil should be applied on the processing surface.
3. After installation, regular inspection should be carried out. Main inspection items:
(1) Wear condition of sealing surface.
(2) Wear condition of trapezoidal thread of valve stem and valve stem nut.
(3) Whether the packing is outdated and invalid, if there is damage, it should be replaced in time.
(4) After the valve repair and assembly, the sealing performance test should be carried out.
Valve in operation, all kinds of valve parts should be complete and intact. The bolts on the flanges and supports are indispensable. The threads should be intact and no loosening is allowed. If the fastening nut on the handwheel is loose, it should be tightened in time to avoid wearing the connection or losing the handwheel and nameplate. If the hand wheel is lost, it is not allowed to use a adjustable wrench instead, it should be matched in time. Packing gland is not allowed to skew or have no pre-tightening clearance. For valves that are prone to rain, snow, dust, sand and other contaminants, the valve stem should be installed with a protective cover. The scale on the valve shall be kept complete, accurate and clear. Valve seal, cap, pneumatic accessories, etc. should be complete and intact. The thermal insulation jacket should have no sag and crack. Do not knock, stand, or support heavy objects on operating valves; In particular, non-metallic valves and cast iron valves should be prohibited.
